NYC Guide

Here are some my my personal favorite places and things to do in NYC.

Parks: 
-Central Park picnic, stroll, bike, row boat, my favorite route, enter at W 81st, head
      through ramble, then walk south to end
-Highline Sunset (or anytime) stroll, elevated park on old railroad tracks, paired nicely 
      with Chelsea Market
-Cloisters way up town, but the grounds are prob the prettiest park in NYC, worth the 
      trek uptown.

Broadway Theatre:

-TKTS 40%-50% off day of, South Side Seaport opens at 10am Times Square at 3 pm
-Get  iphone app TKTS for easy access to show info
-Broadwaybox.com pretty good discount seats
-Joyce Theatre (Dance)

Must Do Activities:
-Walk the Brooklyn Bridge
-See a Broadway show
-Chelsea Market/Highline park

Should Do Activities:
-Statue of Liberty (RESRVE IN ADVANCE)
-9/11 Memorial (RESRVE IN ADVANCE)
-Eataly Italian market place with restaurants, make sure you find the roof top
-Yankees or Mets Game
-Staten Island Ferry (free way to see Statue of Liberty, fairly close) 
-Union Square Farmers Market Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat 8-6 

Museums/Galleries
-MOMA, 11 W 53rd St. @ 6th Ave. 
-MOMA PS122-25 Jackson Ave. at the intersection of 46th Ave. Long Island City, NY 11101 (718) 784-2084
-The Met, 1000 5th Ave @ 82nd St. 
-Natural History Museum, Central Park West @ 79th St. 
-Dialog in the dark, South St. Seaport, experience life blind
-International Center for Photography 1133 Sixth Ave @ 43rd St. 
Shopping
-Topshop/ Topman trendy 478 Broadway @ Broome St.
-Century 21 bargain department store, be ready to fight the crowd 22 Cortland near   World Trade Center 
        or 66th St. and Columbus
-B&H Photo Photographers paradise 9th Ave @ 34th St.
-Limelight Cathedral turned into shopping center 656 6th Ave @ 20th St.

 Restaurants:
-Nook:  Cute tiny restaurant only about 9 tables,  747 9th Ave @ 51st.  Reservation might

-Risposo:  Wine bar, awesome skirt steak salad, 667 9th Ave  (212) 247-8018
-Empanada Mama: open 24 hours 763 9th Ave. @ 51st St. 
-Gyu Katu: Japanese BBQ  321 W. 44th St. 
-Bar Centrale: hidden gem, bar with food, good for late night, post theatre) 
       324 W 46th St.                 
-Best $1 pizza:  West side of 9th at 41st st
-Dans Le Noir: Blind dining, dining in the dark (212) 575-1671
-Food trucks found all over NYC, some fun yummy food, click link for food truck events
